BIOMELT® is a next-generation biodegradable meltblown sorbent nonwoven fabric technology developed by Teknomelt R&D Center, produced using bio-based polylactic acid (PLA) raw material.
Thanks to its PLA structure derived from renewable resources, BIOMELT® offers a sustainable alternative to fossil-based polymers. Its biodegradable nature under controlled conditions aligns with product development approaches focused on reducing environmental impact.
Its microfibrous structure created using meltblown technology provides high liquid and oil absorption capacity with high specific surface area and controlled pore distribution, while combining bio-based, biodegradable, and environmentally focused product concepts with strong performance.
